Verna Conner Cundiff
Verna Conner Cundiff, 96 of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Bentley Commons. She was the wife of the late George Washington Cundiff for 69 years.
Born Monday, July 17, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Euel Mathely Conner and the late Olivia Pugh Conner.
Surviving are sons, David Lee Cundiff and wife Betty, Michael Conner Cundiff both of Evington. and George Wayne Cundiff of Bedford, brothers, Glen A. Conner, and Raymond Conner both of Fairfield, CA, a sister: Ada Eubank of Bedford, grandchildren: Cathy L. Williams(Ernest), Richard Cundiff(Vickie), Christie Cundiff, Kimberly Bailey(Travis), David Wayne Cundiff (Flora): five great-grandchildren: Jonathan Cundiff, Jacquelyn Cundiff, Sarah Williams, Drake Baily and Griffin Bailey.
She is also survived by two devoted friends: Christine Brown and Sylvia Cundiff.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by sisters: Ruth Claytor, Lena Armontrout and Vivian Pentecost, and a brother: Fred Conner.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Bentley Commons and Seven Hills Hospice for the love and care that was given to Verna.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM, Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Greenwood Cemetery, Bedford VA with the Pastor Curtis E. Wheeler and retired Parish Minister: Jean Reynolds officiating.
