Veronica “Ronnie” Dale Tomlin, 62, left this life on Friday, November 5, 2021 at her home in Altavista. She was born on March 30, 1959 in Lynchburg, Va.
Earlier in life, Ronnie worked as a prep-cook at Westminster Canterbury, and then later spent time as a homemaker being a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed time spent in the mountains or on the Blue Ridge Parkway. She most loved spending her time with family, her beloved companion, J.T, and her adored granddaughter, Maddy. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eunice Helen Graybill, George Louis Tomlin, Sr., and Carol Taylor Tomlin; brothers, George Louis “G.L.” Tomlin, Jr. and Robert Anthony “Tony” Taylor; and special friend who she loved dearly, James Thomas “J.T.” Steel III.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Jeremy Stevens (April), Jason Stevens, and Jonathon Stevens (Stephanie); her only grandchild, Madelyn Stevens (Zach); two sisters, Sabrina Gail Wood (Roger) and Teresa Bolka (Joe); two brothers, Scott Taylor (Marissa) and Michael Taylor (Marilyn); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and Rob.
A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
