Heavens curtain parted and god accepted the presence of his servant, Victor Tyrone Adkins, Sr, on Monday, June 10, 2024. He was born on May 21,1953 in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late John Adkins, Sr. and the late Flossie Adkins. He was proceeded in death by his brother Lewis Adkins.
Victor was retired from the United States Army after rendering 21 years of service. He was employed and retired from the United States Postal Services. He was a graduate of Lynchburg College. He was a member of the Tree of Life Ministries in Forest, Virginia.
He is survived by his loving devoted wife of 52 years, Oveta McDaniel Adkins. He leaves to cherish his memories three children, Deanna Oliver (Frank) of High Point, NC; Victor Adkins, Jr (Analisa) of Austin, TX; Adrian Adkins (Courtney) of Virginia Beach, VA; 7 grandchildren,
Bryana, Mya, Layla, Leah, Joshua, Kaius, and Legend; one brother, Dr. John Adkins, Jr. (Beth) of Silver Spring, MD; two sisters, Diane Chandler of Lynchburg, VA; Dr. Darlene Adkins (Donald) of Montgomery, Alabama; one brother-in-law Richard McDaniel (Phyllis) of Lynchburg, VA; one sister-in-law, Tanja Adkins and a host of loyal aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, devoted family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel at 5:00 P.M. Saturday June, 15, 2024.
