It is with great sadness that the family of Viola Irby “Violet” Tucker Fulcher announces her passing on Friday September 16, 2022.
She was born April 1, 1923, in Virginia and was 99 years old. Violet was the daughter of the late Coleman and Lucy Yeatts Irby. She retired from both factory and food service. Violet was a member of the seventh Day Adventist church.
Surviving is a daughter: Joan Lynch; granddaughter Crystal Mullenax both of Winchester Va; grandson David Tucker (Stephanie), grandson Thomas Tucker (Michelle); three great-grandchildren Emmy, Shannon and Brooklyn Tucker all of Lynchburg; four great-grandchildren all of Lynchburg, daughter-in-law Patsy Tucker of Lynchburg; brothers, Curtis Irby (Loretta) of Newport News, Fitzhugh (Pete) Irby wife Jeanette of Hurt Va; sisters Dale Shelton Lynchburg and Eleanor Haynes (Wallace) Darlington S.C. She is preceded in death by infant daughter Madison Amy Tucker; grandson Shannon Tucker; son Michael Tucker, parents Coleman and Lucy Yeatts Irby and 11 brothers and sisters.
She was the widow of both Hampton Tucker and Edward Fulcher. Viola Violet is asleep waiting for the trumpet of GOD and the voice of JESUS When He comes with a loud shout and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1st Thessalonians 4 16-17. Her desire that we all be with Jesus and each other in the beautiful new Earth that Jesus will make for all of us and His children everywhere. Revelation 21 1-4 Jesus loves all of us and gave His Life to save everybody that will accept His wonderful gift.
Due to weather the Graveside service has been postponed to Monday, October 3, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the scatter garden at Old City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Lynchburg seventh Day Adventist
