Violet Celestain Heck

Violet Celestain Heck, 77, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Oakwood Manor. Born February 7, 1934 in Bedford County; she was a daughter of the late Otto Thomas Heck and Madgaline Orange Heck.

Violet was a member of Cool Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, Violet was predeceased in death by three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by three brothers; Andrew Heck, James Heck, Ray Heck (Mary), three sisters; Mildred Carter (Obie), Pauline St. Clair and Faye Carter (Tommy), a special niece, Lisa Lynn Bailey (David); and many additional nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at Tharp Funeral Chapel, 11 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2012 with Pastor Larry Meyers and Dr. Eldridge V. Cullum officiating. Interment will follow in Peaks Church and Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, Monday, January 2, 2012 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, 586-3443.
