Virginia Brown Douglas

Virginia Brown Douglas, 92, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, August 01, 2012. She was the wife of the late Clayton Douglas.

Born Thursday, November 20, 1919 in Bedford County, Virginia was the daughter of the late Clarence Brown and the late Bessie Spence Brown.

Virginia is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Virginia was very dedicated to her husband and to her job at Big Island Paper Mill, where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of Big Island Baptist Church and a former member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. Virginia was a true southern lady who took pride in her appearance throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling when she was younger and health permitted it.

A graveside service, as Virginia requested, will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 03, 2012 in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Chad Brady officiating.
