Virginia Elizabeth Beeker Brickey

Virginia Elizabeth Beeker Brickey, 99, of Goode, died March 16, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Carl Patterson Brickey.
Virginia participated in many different organizations, such as the Timbrook Women’s Club. She earned the honor of Worthy Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star of Old Dominion, Chapter 100 and Golden Age Master of the American Contract Bridge League. She was also an accomplished artist and golfer.
Virginia is survived by her son, Donald Patterson Brickey; daughter, Carlene Brickey Hicks (Michael Eric); grandchildren, Jennifer Elizabeth Bari (Ivan), Michael Christopher Johnson, and Sharon Elizabeth Jones (Michael); great-grandchildren, Lyra Elizabeth Bari, Landon Jones, Graham Jones, and Madden Jones.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a great-grandchild, Callie Jones.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg on Monday, March 19, 2018 from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will immediately follow in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg with Rev. Catharine Montgomery officiating.
