Virginia Hull Jakaitis

Virginia Hull Overstreet Jakaitis of Lynchburg crossed to the other side September 12, 2024. A daughter of the late Kitty Ola Moran Hull and Joseph McMahon Hull, she was born on September 10, 1933, in Bedford, Va. 

 She was preceded in death by a son Durwood Alan Overstreet, by her brothers Otho E Hull and W Fred Hull, sisters Edith Hull Dalton, Margaret Hull Lacy, and Ella Hull Reynolds. Virginia loved life and her family, she enjoyed the games of golf and bowling, playing as often as she could. 

 She is survived by two daughters Karen O Kirsche and Mike Garrett, Martha O Terry and husband Reed, granddaughters Jessica Kirsche, and Jennifer Kirsche, grandsons Thomas Terry and Kara, and Tyler Terry, and great-grandchildren Keili Page, Lillian Mayberry, Mason Hight, Abigail Terry and Piper Terry. 

 A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Austin Hull Officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Monday September 23, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford. Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, is assisting the family.
