Virginia Grace Puckette Reynolds, 80, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Lynchburg Health & Rehabilitation in Lynchburg, VA. She was the wife of Cecil I. Reynolds for 63 years.
Born in Campbell County, August 4, 1931, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Puckette and Willie Virginia Pillow Puckette. She was a life time member of Beulah Baptist Church.
She was a graduate of Rustburg High School and Virginia Commercial College. She was employed by Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation most of her working years. She was employed by S. Kenneth Lane and Assoc. from January 1998 until she retired in May 2004 and then served as a church office volunteer.
She is survived by two sons: Rev. Cecil (Irvin) Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Donna of Matthews, NC and Jamie William Reynolds and his wife, Mary Lee of Lynchburg, VA; two daughters: Rebecca (Becky) Gail Reynolds Glass and her husband, David of Lynchburg, VA and Lisa Grace Reynolds Stone and her husband, Charles of Marshall, VA. She is also survived by one brother, David Jennings Puckette and wife, Nancy of Rustburg, VA; seven grandchildren: David Lee Glass Jr., Rev. Jonathan (Jon) Christian Glass, Sarah Rebecca Glass Diaz, Matthew Jacob Reynolds, Hannah Kay Reynolds, Madelyn Olivia Reynolds and Jacob William Reynolds and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter; six brothers: Henry, Lewis, Harold, Robert, Maynard and John Puckette; three sisters: Josephine Puckette Wilkinson, Hester Puckette Booth Coleman and Mary Puckette Chaplin.
Family will receive friends at Beulah Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Service will be held at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Brian Seay, Officiating. Interment will follow at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery.
