Vivian Bernheim Meeker

Vivian Martha Bernheim Meeker, 90, of Moneta, died Saturday, June 18, 2011. Vivian was born in Irvington, New Jersey on March 23, 1921, the daughter of the late B. Wilson Bernheim and Viola Gertrude Stokes Bernheim. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Frank Norman Meeker. 

Vivian was a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scouts of America leader for fourteen years.     She was also a member of Wej Dienen Womens Club at the Clarkstown Reform Church.

Vivian is survived by one son Paul W. Meeker of Moneta, Va.; three daughters, Virginia A. Munkelwitz (Richard) of Burlington, Vermont, Eileen M. Bantel (Thomas) of Loudon, Tennessee, Deborah E. Meeker- Pallien (Michael) of Oakland, New Jersey, five grandchildren, Karl Munkelwitz (Tina), Alex Munkelwitz, Marc Bantel (Sharon), Frank Pallien, and Victoria Pallien; three great-grandchildren Meghan Bantel, Kelsey Bantel, Owen Munkelwitz; sister-in-law\"™s Margaret Meeker and Gertrude Meeker.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 13586 Moneta Road, Moneta, Va. 24121

A Celebration of Vivian\"™s life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lord officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
