Vivian Burch Reynolds
Vivian Burch Reynolds, 92, of Big Island died Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Bedford County Nursing Home after a short illness. Vivian was a lifelong Virginian, and a retiree of Big Island Elementary School. She was a member of the Sedalia Baptist Church.
She was born on July 25, 1920 in Amherst County, Virginia to Minnie and Myers Burch. She married Royston Reynolds in April of 1936.
She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Reynolds Saari (Jim) of Jasper, Texas; sons, Franklin Myers Reynolds (Jean) of Pulaski, Virginia, and John Hamilton Reynolds of Georgia; granddaughter, Conya Saari Koch (Arden) of Jasper, Texas; great-granddaughters, Amber Lynch (Michael), Shelby Stroman, and Katy Koch, all of Jasper, Texas; great-great-grandson, Jayden Bonvillian of Jasper, Texas; one sister, Ruth Meadows of Hopewell, Virginia; one half-brother, Richard Blankenship of Florida; and two nieces, Martha Dawson (G.B.) of Big Island, Virginia, and Amber Pokropski (Edward) of Easton, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elizabeth Putney, O\"™Neal Hudson, Emma Woodle, Ella Ramsey, Jerry Blankenship and grandson, John Dane Reynolds.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to the Sedalia Baptist Church, 1072 Charlemont Road, Big Island, Virginia 24526.
