W. Estelle Tyree, 91, of Lynchburg, VA, died Monday, June 06, 2011 at Medical Care Center.
Estelle Tyree was born April 21, 1920 in Bedford County, VA. She was a daughter of the late Jasper Gillispie and Florence Magann Gillispie. She was a member of Sandusky Baptist Church.
Estelle is survived by a brother, Robert Gillispie, Martinsville; a daughter, Katherine T. Staton, Lynchburg; her sons, James L. Tyree, Jr. and wife, Maggie of Lynchburg, and Barry W. Tyree and wife, Carol of Forest; seven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Marshall Tyree.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 09, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Estelle\"™s life will be follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Suitt officiating. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
