Warren Layton Willis
Warren Layton Willis, 72, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011. He was the husband of Carol Ann Owen Willis.
Mr. Willis was born August 13, 1938 in Norcator, KS, a son of the late Homer B. Willis and Lois Bruton Willis. He was retired from General Electric where he was an electrical engineer and a member of the Elfun Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lynn Willis, her husband, Erik Ledbetter, and their son, Owen, of Maryland; and Robin Willis of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Willis.
A celebration of Warren's life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
