Warren Eugene Woodson (Hoghead) went home peacefully to be with the Lord on April 3, 2024, at his residence in Lynchburg, Va. Born July 31, 1961, to the late James Monroe Woodson and Dorothy Sparrow Woodson.
Early in his life, he was baptized and became a member of Fairmount Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va. He willingly served his country in the United States Army where he completed his tour of duty.
Warren had a zest for life and all it had to give. He enjoyed each and every day to the fullest, telling stories of his adventures and what he did and saw along the way.'
His love for truck driving was his passion. Diving for Thompson Trucking, John Banks and Harrison Clark, just to name a few, but his greatest love of all was his seven grandchildren whom he lived for: Shermia, Sherwana, Angel, Karla, Zoey, Christopher and Damontae. He was so proud and loved them with all his heart.
Those left to cherish his memories, are his wife of 30 years, Irma Nadine Woodson; one daughe4r, Wanda C.Woodson(Chris), of North Carolina; one son Warren C. Woodson (Qiana), of Lynchburg, Va; a devoted brother and best friend James A. Woodson (Freda) of Madison Heights; sisters Gwendolyn Vaughter of Lynchburg and Doris Kinney (Gearld) of Madison Heights, Va; one Aunt Kathleen Franklin of Madison Heights, Va; three sisters-in-law, Roslyn Turpin (Harry), Sonya Ferguson (William) and Veronica Carter of North Carolina; one brother-in-law Jerry Carter of Lynchburg, Va.; and a loving host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Tharp Lynchburg, chapel, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm.
