Wayne Butler

Mr. Wayne D.G. Butler of Bedford, VA passed away at home unexpectedly on Monday, January 2nd, 2017. Wayne was born to parents Owen and Teresa (Gray) Butler on January 15th, 1952, in Houlton, ME. Wayne was raised in Maine and Virginia, and made his home in Western Virginia since the early 1970’s. He was a businessman, community activist, and inveterate lover of life, celebrated and remembered by his family, many friends, and associates.

Wayne was predeceased by his father and mother, stepfather James P. Grady, and brother Steven Butler; he is survived by his sister and brother in-law Shona and Christopher Radan of Plainfield, IL; brother Doug and wife Jeanne of Bangor, ME; brother William and wife Jennifer of Carlsbad, CA; brother Paul and wife Angela of Bangor, ME; nephew and wife Cory J. and Tracy Grady of Bangor, ME; niece Ashley Taylor of Plainfield, IL; niece Tara Taylor of Fort Worth, TX; several grand-nieces, grand-nephew, aunts and uncle, and his many beloved friends.

Wayne will be cremated; his family will organize and hold a memorial at a time and place to be announced in Western Virginia (Spring of 2017), to inter his remains and celebrate his life and adventures. The family is grateful for all condolences, but declines flowers or donations.
