Wayne Clifford Carter

Wayne Clifford Carter, 68, of Thaxton, died Friday, April 8, 2011. Born in Bedford, Virginia on February 4, 1943 a son of the late Floyd Gilmer \"Pete\" Carter and Alice Dooley Carter. In addition to his parents Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd \"Dick\" Carter, Jr. and Don Davis Carter.Wayne was survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Carter; two children, Anthony Wayne Carter and his wife, Peggy and Teresa Dawn Carter; four sisters, Joanne Custer and her husband, Jimmy, Dorothy Mae Orange and her husband, Buford, Donna Faye Booth, and Shelby Spiva and husband, Randy; four brothers, Danny Carter and his wife, Anna, Jimmy Carter and his wife, Diana, Fred J. Carter, and Joe Croft; also numerous nieces and nephews.  A celebration of Wayne\"™s life will be conducted at 1:00pm on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Larry Myers and Rev.
