Wayne Everett Westgate, 36, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 29, 2012 surrounded by his friends and family. He was the loving husband of Stacy Knight Westgate.
Wayne was born October 16, 1975 in Taunton, Mass., a son of the late William Edward Westgate, Sr. and the late Janice Mignault Westgate. Wayne worked as a professional truck driver with J.G.F. Trucking and enjoyed bowling with the TNC Family & Friends League. He was also a member of The Bridge Community Church in Lynchburg.
In addition to his wife Stacy, he is survived by three brothers: John Hardy (Laura) of Fort Lauderdale, FL.; Preston Hardy (Carolyn) of Lynchburg; and William Westgate (Francine) of Lynchburg, his nieces and nephews: Chris, Shannon, Kevin, Jesse, Logan, Myles, Seth, Ethan, Joseph, Jacob, Tori, Kenadi, Sam, Rilee, Delani, Caitee, Amber, and Emily, mother-in-law Peggy Knight of Lynchburg, a grandmother Florence Westgate of Raynham, MA., his \"adopted ma\" Helen Ferneyhough of Madison Heights, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his beloved dogs: Ruby Jean, Odyssey, Waylon, Abby, Rex, and Ace.
A Celebration of Wayne\"™s Life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday October 4, 2012 at Fairview Christian Church with the Bishop S.Y. Younger officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
