Wayne Odis Wilson

Wayne Odis Wilson, 74, of Goode, VA, died suddenly on Friday, June 10, 2011 at his home. Born Saturday, November 14, 1936 in Victoria, TX, he was the son of the late Truman Odis Wilson and the late Lenore Wheeler Wilson.

He was a devoted husband of Janet Lynne Wroncy Wilson for 27 years, who loved and adored him. He was a loving and caring father and grandfather.

Wayne graduated from Texas A&M. His fields were chemistry and electronics. He invented instruments for the chromatographic analysis of natural gas and was the founder and CEO of Instromet Technology Corporation which was eventually integrated with the parent company in Belgium.

He is survived by a son, Earl Wilson and wife, Marsha of Greenville, TX; two daughters, Stephanie Whitton and husband, Bryan of San Jose, CA, and Jennifer Willis and husband, Don of Keller, TX; a stepson, Brian Boardman and wife, Cristy of Pittsburgh, PA; a stepdaughter, Marnie Frazier and husband, Tim of Canonsburgh, PA; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a brother, Wendall Wheeler Wilson of Victoria, TX; and a sister, Priscilla Noetzel-Wilson and husband, Peter of Montevideo, Uruguay.

The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Wayne\"™s life will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, with Pastor Joe Horrell officiating.
