Webster E. Grooms, 78 died December 28, 2021, at Fairmont Crossing Nursing Home after a short illness.
Mr. Grooms was born on January 29,1943, in Amherst, VA to the late Earl H. Grooms and Laura Bell Grooms. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six sisters; Evelyn (Sam), Minnie (Tom), Ruth (John), Helen (Vernon), Lucille (Henry), and Elhora; four brothers, Wesley (Janice), Archie, Walter (Janette), and Levi (Fannie).
Webster joined Timothy Baptist Church at an early age and enjoyed parking cars during Sunday service at the church. Webster also enjoyed listening to his nephews sing gospel songs.
Webster was employed by Lynchburg City Schools and English Construction.
Webster is survived by a devoted great niece, Cheryl Sandidge; a devoted nephew Ernest H. Haynes and caretaker Debra Burley. His memory will also be cherished by a host of beloved nephews, nieces, and friends.
