Wilhelmina Elliott Hight, 90, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Lynchburg, VA, died September 22, 2011. She passed away surrounded by her family members.
Miss Hight was born November 16, 1920, in Lynchburg, VA, a daughter of John J. and Sallie E. Hight. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Woman\"™s College. She was a lifelong member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. After teaching school for several years, Miss Hight enjoyed being a homemaker and avid gardener.
She is survived by her brother Dennis T. Hight, Sr. of Greensboro, and sister, Nancy H. Hudson, of Greensboro, formerly of Lynchburg. She is also survived by a nephew Dennis T. Hight, Jr., (Susan) of Greensboro, NC and a niece Catherine H. Gaither (Henry) of Burlington, NC. She is also survived by three great nephews Spencer, Scott and John; two great-nieces, Caroline and Erin and one great-great nephew, Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James L. Hight and John P. Hight and three sisters Hazel E. Hight, Lucy L. Hight, and Mae P. Hight.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Presbyterian Cemetery, Lynchburg, VA, with the Reverend Nancy White officiating.
