Willbert Homes “Jack” Willoughby, 98, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, July 21, 2018
Born on August 16, 1919 he was a son of the late Richard Walker Willoughby and the late Josie Catherine Cash. He is preceded in death by daughter, Patsy Lang and one granddaughter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 78 years, Bessie Willoughby, daughter, Cookie Smith and her husband Burnette “Smitty”; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 24 2018, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Concord Volunteer Fire Department, 12573 Richmond Hwy, Concord, VA 24538.
