William (Bill) Murrell Bartley

William Murrell Bartley, 79 of Madison Heights, Virginia died on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at his home in Madison Heights. He was the husband of Carolyn Parker Allen Bartley for 61 years.
Born Monday, May 25, 1936, Bill was a son of the late William Murrell Bartley Sr. and the late Louise B.Walker.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a son, William Bartley, III (Bill) and a son in-law, John Palmer.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Larry Bartley and his wife, Sona, Pamela Bartley Palmer, Wanda Bartley Hall and her husband, Scooter, and Michael G. Walker and his wife Gloria, ten grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Janet Osborne and her husband, R.V., and Mary Lawhorn, and a brother in-law, Richard Allen.
Bill was truck driver for Conagra, a division of Morton frozen foods for many years. He also was a member of the US Army Reserves.
A Celebration of Bill’s life will be held on May 25, 2016.
