William Daniel Field, Iii
William Daniel \"Danny\" Field III died at home on May 14, 2011 at the age of 62.
Danny was born in Washington, DC on February 28, 1949, joined the Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam. He married Janet Catterton and had a son. They later divorced. He worked for the Smithsonian Institution as a certified HVAC engineer before opening his own residential HVAC business.
In 1994 he married Barbara Ann Urban of Mechanicsville, MD. They moved to Vinton in 2008. In the past year, Danny devoutly attended the Covenant Fellowship Church in Moneta, VA.
Danny is predeceased by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 17 years and his siblings; Brenda Bryan, Marion Bingham, Ramona Gayle Becker, Wayne Field, Bryan Field, Lora Fischer, Harry Field, and Janet Weaver.
He is also survived by his son, William Daniel Field IV; stepchildren, Christina VanDeventer, Jeanne Manville, and John Urban; grandchildren, Nathan Field, Jessica Cline, Tommy VanDeventer, Kelsey Manville, Rebekkah Manville, Natalie Urban, and Katherine Urban.
