William Donald Marlin, Jr.

William “Don” Marlin, Jr., age 88, peacefully passed away Monday December 17, 2018.  His wife of 67 years, Janet and their four children, son Don III, daughters Lynn Carter, Carleen Stidham, and Roxanne Jenkins were at his side on December 16, 2018.  Prayers were said letting him know that his family would always be with him and his job here on earth was done.  His time had come to meet with loved ones that had gone before him.  He was at peace when the Lord took him at 6pm on December 17 with two daughters by his side day and night as he went to his new home.

Don is survived by a sister Shaneen and is predeceased by his parents Don Sr, Margaret and his brother Barry.

The family is being assisted by Tharp and Fort Hill cemetery. The family had a private service on December 29th at Fort Hill Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life for Don will be held on January 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home on 220 Breezewood Drive.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Shriners Hospital Road Runners who drive children to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  Don was a driver for the Road Runners for many years.
