William Douglas Watson, 73, of Bedford passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018.
Born November 10, 1944 in Bedford, he was the son of the late Gilmore Joseph Watson and Katie Cundiff Watson. William proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 1897.
William is survived by his two sons: Terry Douglas Watson, Todd Watson and Amy Overstreet; brother: Gilmore (Chip) Watson and wife, Janet; sister: Helen Lee Watson; grandchild: Raigan Overstreet; and great-grandchild: Kennedi Hamm.
Graveside service will be held Friday, September 21, 2018, 2 pm, at Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford at which time the family would like for friends and relatives to share stories with each other.
