William "Fred" Frederick Hull

William Frederick “Fred” Hull 79, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016. He was born in Bedford Co. Virginia on April 24, 1936. A son of the late Joseph McMahone Hull and Kitty Ola Moran Hull. In addition to his parents Fred was preceded in death by four siblings, Ella Hull Reynolds, Margaret Hull Lacy, Otha Hull and Edith Hull Dalton.

Fred was a truck driver and also worked in shipping for  many years with the Mead Corporation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, the outdoors and especially farming. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Blankenship Hull; three children, Phyllis Hull, William David Hull and his special friend, Regina Knight and Frederick Dale Hull and his wife, Barbara; 7 grandchildren, Daniel Noel, Amy Lee St.clair and her husband, Derek, Amanda Lauren Creasey and her husband, Matthew, David Adam Hull and his girlfriend, Lilly McDonald, Jonathan Dale Hull, Darah Kaye Hull and Kellan Leanne Hull; two great-grandchildren, Treyse Sowell and Tristan Sowell; one sister, Virginia H. Jakatis; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A funeral service and celebration of Fred’s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Chapel with Austin Hull and Sam Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
