William R. Gregory. 89, of Forest, formerly of Newport RI, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 of Covid-19.
William was born in Canton, NC and attended Syracuse University and Pratt Institute. He spent his career in art in the publishing industry, most notably as Art Director of Reader’s Digest Condensed Books. His proudest accomplishments included winning the gold medal of Society of Illustrators, facilitating the creation of the Signet Classic.
Surviving are his two daughters, Elizabeth Gregory Noakes (Brian) of Pulaski, TN and Sarah Gregory of Lynchburg.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
