William Ralph Brown, Jr., 64, of Evington, lost his battle with cancer Tuesday, January 4, 2011.
Billy was born November 12, 1946 in Evington, the son of the late William Ralph Brown, Sr. and Mildred Frances Moore Brown. He was the owner of Browns Hauling and Excavating and was a member of Waterlick Moose Lodge #1727.
He is survived by his family, Dina B. Staton and her daughter, Jaclyn, Angela M. Brown and her son, Rhett, and Darnell B. Martin and husband, Ryan T. and their children, Randi Mitchell, and Tristan and Gabriel Martin; his sister, Betty B. Davis, his girlfriend, Nancy Carter, his niece, Lynn Crouch and husband, David; his nephew, Bobby Krantz and wife Rhonda and their son, Travis; and his extended family, Dale Hall, Mark Klein, Carter, Trina, Grayson & Maddox Roakes, and Donna Staton; all of Evington/Rustburg/Lynchburg.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A celebration of Billy's life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Dean officiating. Interment will follow in Altavista Memorial Park.
