Wilma Jean Colinger Wright, 86, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Avante Nursing Home after a long illness. She was born July 10, 1923 in Inman, Virginia; daughter of the late Charles and Thelma Kesterson Colinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Charles E. Colinger and Robert D. Colinger.
Jean\"™s family was at the heart of those things she valued the most. She was the beloved wife of Frank Robert Wright for 65 years and devoted mother to her son, Frank Austin Wright, Sr. and his wife Mary Louise. She is also survived by her grandson Frank Austin Wright, Jr. and his wife Kristin and her great-grandsons Frank Austin Wright, III and Matthew Robert Wright, and by her sister Mabel C. Williams and her brothers Luther G. Colinger and Roger Q. Colinger.
Jean was a fine homemaker and excelled at using her talents in homemaking to convey her love to her family. Her friends and neighbors enjoyed her generous heart as a result of her caregiving.
The family expresses their great love and gratitude to her sister Mabel for her love and friendship; to her nieces Brenda W. Bryant, Deborah W. Maddox and Wanda C. Rosser for their endless devotion during her illness. They also express their deepest appreciation to the nurses and hospice staff at Avante Nursing Home and Lynchburg General Hospital.

A celebration of Jean\"™s life will be conducted on Saturday June 5, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Whites United Methodist Church and interment will be in the church cemetery. A reception will follow the interment in the church fellowship hall.
