Wilma Jean Gregory Wright

Wilma Jean Gregory Wright, 83, of Lynchburg VA went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Born in Lynchburg VA, she was the daughter of the late Alton C. Gregory, Sr. and the late Ruby Wilmer Gregory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Wight, Sr.; their three sons, Alfred L., Greg, and Gary; and her brother, Alton C. Gregory, Jr.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Christopher Wright (Kristina), Leanne King (Michael), and Elizabeth Hamilton (Carrell), and their families all of Lynchburg, VA.

She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Neighbors (Jimmie), of Charles Town, WV., Gloria Mann (Robert) of Fredericksburg, VA., and Charlotte Fariss (Smith) of Bedford, VA.; Daughter in law, Vicky May of Roanoke, VA; and a sister-in-law, Dianne Gregory of Lynchburg, VA. and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her dear friend of 75 years, Brenda Nuckles. They shared their lives, the good times and the not so good times since the second grade in 1949.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on September 6, 2024, at Fort Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Danny Holdren officiating.
