Wilmer Falls Millner

Wilmer Falls Millner, 89, of Evington, passed away Sat., May 22, 2010.  He was the husband of the late Hilda Loverline Leftwich Millner.

Wilmer was born March 13, 1921 in Virginia, a son of the late Jefferson and Virgie Falls Millner.  He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.  He was a member of Whites United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #16.

He is survived by his children: Anita Conner and husband, Dan of Frederick, CO, Gregory Millner and wife, Valerie of Forest, and Stacy Millner of Lynchburg; his grandchildren: Michael Leverich and wife, Maria of Lynchburg, Danielle Kryger and husband, Mark of Lynchburg, Lesley Kozisky of Frederick, CO, Graham Millner and Jared Millner both of Forest;  his great grandchildren: Elijiah Leverich and Makiah Kryger;  his brothers: James Nelson Millner and Maurice Millner and wife, Gladys, all of Rustburg, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, Tony Kozisky, four sisters and a sister-in-law.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Whites United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Paul F. Gillespie officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 16.
