Wilton Robert “Bobby” France, Jr., 91, of Madison Heights, departed this life on Monday, April 29, 2019.
Born March 31, 1928 in Springwood, Va., he was a son of the late Wilton R. and Mazie Huffman France.
Bobby served in the U.S. Army and afterwards he retired from Griffin Pipe after 36 years of service. He loved to hunt, fish, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Marie Governor France; one son, Rick France of Forest; two brothers, Roy of Ocala, Fla. and Howard of Madison Heights; two grandsons, Nathan Scott (Vitoria) of Richmond, Tyler Jordon (Allison) of Lynchburg and a granddaughter whom he absolutely adored, Ryleigh Noelle France of Dade City, Fla. also numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. David Garrison officiating.
