Yvonne Lee Slusher, 36, of Amherst, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019. She was born January 10, 1983 in Johnstown, Pa., and was a daughter of William “Pat” Slusher (Linda Faye) and Margie Mays McCormick (Larry “Tootie”).
Yvonne was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She spent her days coaching her girls in softball, on the lake, camping, and loving her family. She was always smiling and made a friend in everyone she met.
In addition her parents, she is survived by her two beautiful daughters Taylor Grace Elick and Rylee Yvonne Elick; her fiancé, Roger; her three sisters, Patricia Lynn Slusher (Brian), Margo Elaine Slusher, and Jessica Michelle Slusher (Eric); maternal grandmother, Margaret Tomlin Fry; paternal grandfather, Bud Slusher; nieces and nephews, Timothy King, Takota Cash, and daughter Ivy Cash, Kaiden Wilson, Kameron Slusher, Marissa Elick, Mila Goolsby, Easton Wilson; and numerous step-siblings, step-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Ruthanne Lyons, and Aunt Debbie Withers.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights with the Rev. Cal Martins, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow the service in Cumbie Memorial Cemetery, Rustburg, Va.
