Zackary Dustin Flower, 25, of Berea, KY went to be with the Lord Monday November 21, 2011.
Zackary was born January 10, 1986 in Johnson City, TN a son of Mark and Laurie Flower of Lynchburg. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard during the Iraq War and was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. Zackary was also very passionate about making music.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his 10 siblings: Molly Brewsaugh of Cincinnati, OH; Madeline Flower of Hillsboro, OH; Anna, Abigail, Kate, Canaan, Ethan, Caleb, Emma, and Noah Flower all of Lynchburg, his paternal grandparents Robert and Dorothy Flower of Pittsburgh, PA; and maternal grandfather Herbert Shwedick of Rye, NY; and four nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Zackary\"™s Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday November 26, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, Lynchburg with Pastor Rick Ouimet officiating. Military honors will be performed by members of his National Guard Unit.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that children\"™s toys be given in memory of Zackary. He was very excited about the upcoming benefit his band was putting on to raise items of food and toys for God\"™s Pantry and Toys for Tots of Lexington, KY. To perpetuate his dream the Flower Family would like to present these toys on Zackary\"™s behalf.
