My thoughts and prayers are with David's family. He and I worked many years together as examiners, though I most enjoyed the many conversations I had with him on college football, especially his passion for his Hokies.

I had the privilege of crossing paths and working indirectly with David while at NCUA. He was always so quietly jovial, approachable and nice. He was not only willing to help, but he was very helpful with work projects. I was so happy for him when he decided to retire. I'm so sorry he did not get to enjoy a long and happy retirement. My deep and sincere condolences to all his family and friends for their loss. May he forever rest in peace.

David was the best! There was never a phone call that he wouldn't take to help whenever he could. I loved him as co-worker and friend. There was no scenario too dark that one of his jokes couldn't brighten up. I will truly miss him. To his lovely wife and son, I will continue to pray for your peace and comfort during this time of grief. May the love of God comfort the entire family.

To Ninah and his son, I am so very sorry for your loss. Praying for peace and strength during this difficult time. David was a gentleman, very smart, helpful, and always willing to help us. I was lucky to work with him for a little while last year and before that he helped me when I was in the field with my credit unions. I am in shock of his passing and he will be greatly missed. Rest in peace David! God bless you all.

Dave was truly a kind and wonderful guy. He was always our "go-to" in the field for any chartering and FOM questions. No matter what he was working on he always took the time to help us. I was fortunate to have him as my trainer when I transferred to CURE in 2021 and had such fun talking to him and hearing his stories. Ninah, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss.

It was always great to run into David at a conference/class. I enjoyed talking Va Tech or Alabama football with him. And I've bugged him with quite a few work-related questions over the last 3-4 years. He was so mild-mannered and easy talk to. He'll certainly be missed! God Bless and prayers to David's family and loved ones.

Ninah, Mike and I are both so sorry for your loss. We were so surprised to hear of his passing. I worked with Dave for many years. Mike came to know him through the many meetings and exams where Mike traveled with me while Dave was in the (former) Group A. After he was promoted, I would call him whenever I had a field of membership or chartering question. I could count on him to answer my questions and he genuinely enjoyed helping credit unions. He really was great to work with, friendly and helpful. And he always - ALWAYS - had a joke! The angels are laughing because Dave is telling another joke. Our condolences to your family.

David was such a nice man and a true gentleman. Although I only worked with him a short while, I truly appreciated his gentle demeanor and warmth. It's nice to reflect on God's promise to resurrect our loved ones at his appointed time (Acts 24:15). At that time, Ninah, you will truly shed tears of joy to be reunited with David!

To David's family: my heart breaks for you. David was a true southern gentleman, a professional co-worker, a friend to credit unions.
