Kendall I. Cunningham

Kendall I. Cunningham, 85, of Lynchburg, died Sunday May 16, 2021. He was the husband of Joyce Cadd Cunningham for 65 years.

Born on March 10, 1936 he was a son of the late Newton E. Cunningham and the late Violet Harvey Cunningham. He was employed with Meade Corporation and retired from Rock Tenn. He was a volunteer with the Campbell County Rescue Squad and Lynchburg Life Saving Crew.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Gary Cunningham (Leigh) and Kevin Cunningham (Leanne); three grandchildren, Brad (Jennifer), Heather and Michael (Joelyn); four great-grandchildren, Sean, Landon, Oliver and Madison; two brothers, Bruce Cunningham and Keith Cunningham; and two sisters, Jean Banton and Pat Crank.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg with the Reverend Louis Beckwith, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow the service at Virginia Memorial Park.
