Kerry Lee Mann passed away Jan 5, 2023 from complications of covid pneumonia. He was born October 4, 1950 in Inglewood, Calif. to Keith and Elizabeth Mann. He had three brothers Rick, Allen, and Kevin, and one sister Kim. Kerry grew up in Southern California and attended Westminster High School. After graduation he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Norway for two years. He returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Becky Denos in 1972. They were married for over 50 years. He then attended Brigham Young University where he received his B.S. degree. He worked for several years for Sav-On Drugs in California as a manager and then attended Utah State University where he received his MBA. He then attended Purdue University for Phd. Studies. He taught finance at the University of New Mexico and the University of Virginia. He later left teaching and worked for private companies. In 1993 he started his own company Omni Electrical Constructors with his partner Bill Fowler. He was busy with Omni Electrical for 20 years. He and Becky had six children; Rachel, Keith, Karl, Kirsti, Randall, and Ruth. They were always on the go and involved in various activities at church, school, and in the community with their children. Kerry coached soccer for several of his children and went on campouts with the boys who were in scouts. He loved taking his boys on the father and son campout each year. Kerry had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and was very active in his church. He served as Bishop, High Councilor, Elders Quorum President, Seminary Teacher and Institute Teacher. His favorite calling was being a Primary Teacher. He volunteered in the Washington DC Temple for many years. He was active in the Boy Scouts and served as District President. He was also an Eagle Scout and received his Silver Beaver Award. He was a former president of the Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg and an advisory board member for First Citizens Bank.

Although he had many jobs throughout the years, his favorite was being a Grandpa. He loved reading to his grandchildren and playing cards with them. He was an avid reader his entire life. He most often had two books he was reading at a time. He loved doing Suduko puzzles and in his later years jig saw puzzles. He always had a keen mind, great memory, and quick wit. He loved to tell jokes and was a great storyteller. He loved taking road trips and camping with the family and later just with Becky. His favorite places to go were the Grand Tetons and High Sierras.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Randall, and several beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is survived by his wife Becky; his children Rachel Baldwin (Rocky), Keith Mann (Jennifer), Karl Mann (Rachel Dee), Kirsti Lovelace, and Ruth Adkins (Mike); his daughter-in-law, Lori Mann (Randall); his siblings, Rick Mann (Rodelyn), Allen Mann (Nhung), Kim Mullin (Layne), and Kevin Mann; his grandchildren, Joseph Baldwin (Vivian), Jacob Baldwin (Kira Jo), Rebecca Baldwin, Hannah Baldwin, Mary Jane Baldwin, Benjamin Baldwin, and Bethany Baldwin all of American Fork, Utah, Garrett Mann, Ivy Elizabeth Mann, and Grady Mann all of Lynchburg,

Becky and the family, I was so saddened to hear of Kerry’s passing. He and I became close friends serving in the church and managing our own business. We became like real brothers. I learned a lot from him. He was so wise. Being an Eagle Scout he exemplified the meaning of the scout oath and law in his character. I will miss him, but he will not be forgotten. I will be keeping you in my prayers in the coming days and weeks.
