Lee Winfield Williams

November 6, 1940 - July 17, 2021

Lt. Colonel (retired) Lee W. Williams, 80, of Forest, passed away on Saturday, July 17,2021 at his residence.  He was the husband of Diana Cooklis Williams.

Born in Pennsylvania on November 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Winfield Williams and Irene Inez Johnson Williams.

In addition to Diana, he is survived by his daughter Charis Aumann (Phil), sons Scott (Angelia) and Troy (Jennifer); Grandchildren Aimee, Adam, Lindsay, and Aubrey (Charis); Spencer and Conner (Troy); Great grandchildren Maica and Noemi (Lindsay), and Ezra and Liam (Aubrey).

Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired after 20 years of service and served two tours in Vietnam.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford at 3:00 p.m.
