Mary Bea Cline

Mary Bea Cline passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at Westminster Canterbury. She was the daughter of Rucker Cline and Beatrice Murdock Cline. She was predeceased by dearest friend, Dottie, Holitzke of Pearland, TX. She also was predeceased by three brothers, Norvell Cline, Quentin Cline and Nyal Lee Cline.

Mary Bea had a long musical career. She was the singer for Freddy and the Vagabonds, a big band of the late 1930s through the 1940s. She had her own weekly singing show on WWOD. Mary Bea also sang for the American troops during WWII.

She was the favorite aunt and is survived by nephews and nieces. William Cline and wife (Penelope Cline), Nyal Lee Cline Jr. and wife (Maureen McBride), nice, Ria Cline, Quentin B. Cline and wife (Martha Cline), Gayle Cline, Peggy Davis and Christy Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 at Spring Hill cemetery.

Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
