Nelson was many things to many people. To me , he became a few different things over the years . When I was 12 years old and meeting him for the first time , he was the coolest and most handsome , funny and laid back person I had ever met . He was kind enough to not break my heart with the many love letters I wrote to him before and after he married my Aunt! Of course as I grew up he became an awesome friend that I could talk to about anything, he never judged me just listened and gave advice . He became another protector of sorts when I brought my first serious boyfriend to meet him, and he seriously questioned him for over an hour about his intentions . He was a unique soul, and always the life of the party . I’ve missed you for years , but knowing now there is no chance of seeing you again is just heartbreaking. I’ve loved you well over half my life and I always will . Rest In Peace , and until I see you again know you will be in my heart !

Nelson was a unique individual with a love of life and one who could always bring a laugh to the room. We met through our work, and our friendship grew from there. Nelson and his family has been a guest in our home and a companion on trips abroad a couple of decades ago. Have not seen much of you in the past ten years but my prayers are with your family as they mourn your loss. You will be remembered and missed.

Nelson was a very unique man. He was one of my best friends. My life still revolves around him in so many ways, from my career to my family. I learned many things from him and I think he learned from me as well. I miss you and will continue to miss you the rest of my days.
