Eventually, she took on a role as a no-nonsense clerk at Midtown Convenience Store in Shohola, PA, from which she retired. After retirement, Ann and Bob relocated to Lynchburg, VA. She served as President of the Auxillary at American Legion  Post 16 in Lynchburg and was also very active in other roles within the Post, where she developed many close friendships.

Ann was preceded in death by her siblings, Armond Mariano, Marie Carbonetta, Toni Brutvan, Gabe Mariano, and Theresa Stojek, as well as one daughter, Debra Mae Woods. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Woods, of Lynchburg, VA, son Robert Woods and wife Sharon of Wantage, NJ, son William Woods and wife Melanie of Clayton, NC, and daughter Diane Crouthamel and husband Shawn of Bechtelsville, PA. Ann is also survived by four grandchildren whom she loved with her entire heart, Michelle, Emma, Tyler, and Jocelyn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Last but not least, Ann is survived by her rescued feline furball, Missy.
