Phillip Isaac Langhorne Sr. , 47 of Lynchburg, Va.  transitioned on Friday, October 28, 2022.  He was born on August 29, 1975 to Frances and Charles W. Langhorne of Lynchburg, Va.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alberta and James T. Smith and Laura Davis Langhorne and Thomas O. Langhorne Sr.

Phillip graduated from Heritage High School, Lynchburg, Va. and he attended Devry in Decatur, Ga.  Phillip loved his family and friends.  He also enjoyed traveling and taking trips to Virginia Beach with his family; he loved the water, mentoring the youth, car shows, listening to music, spending time with family, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, and being in good company.

Phillip loved everybody and everybody loved Phillip. He loved shopping. Most of all Phillip loved God.  He knew that God had a plan.  Everybody that knows Phillip always heard him say “Tighten Up!”  Phillip would say this showing love and loyalty and he meant it.

Along with his parents he leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Diana White Langhorne, his children Nakeya Nicole Shantel White (Greensboro, NC.) and Phillip Isaac Langhorne Jr.(Lynchburg, Va) his brother Greggory L. Langhorne (Nan) of Lynchburg, his nieces Ceaira Ferguson, Cemondre Ferguson, Jessica Langhorne, and Cyan Smith. His mother and father in love Ella White and Harvey Lee King of Lynchburg. His Loving Godparents  Arelia S. Langhorne and Howard R. Langhorne of Lynchburg.  Also so many other brothers/ best friends, an army of god children, relatives and many loving friends in the community.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg Chapel. A celebration of Phillip’s Life will be held on Thursday November 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at West Lynchburg Baptist Church. Interment will follow the service at the Forest Hill Burial Park.

Diana, Keya, and Phillip...losing someone you love is like losing a part of yourself. You miss them and you miss who you were with them. Nothing will ever replace that. Know that wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a beautiful trail of memories. Mario and I extend condolences in the loss of your beloved husband, father, and friend.
